In short: I only get what you choose to email me, I never sell it, and this site doesn’t use cookies or tracking.

Who I am
This is the website of John Bell, a freelance graphic and web designer based in Birmingham, UK. I’m responsible for any personal information you share with me through it. You can reach me at jb.designagency89@gmail.com, or call, text or WhatsApp me on 07428 728780.
What I collect, and why
The contact form on this site doesn’t send anything to a server. When you press send, it opens your own email app with your message filled in, and nothing leaves your device until you send that email yourself.
So the only personal information I get is what you choose to email me, or send by phone, text or WhatsApp: usually your name, email address, business name and details about your project. I use it to:
- reply to you and talk through your project
- send you a quote, and then do and deliver the work if you go ahead
- send invoices and keep the business records the law asks me to keep
I use it because you’ve asked me to, or because it’s needed to agree and carry out work together. I never sell it, and I never add you to a mailing list.
Who else sees it
Only the services I need to run my business, such as my email provider (Google) and, for invoices, my accountant. They keep it secure and can only use it to provide their service to me.
How long I keep it
I keep project emails for as long as we’re working together and for a while after, in case you come back with changes. Invoices and business records are kept for as long as UK law requires, usually six years. After that I delete them.
Cookies and tracking
This site doesn’t set any cookies, and it doesn’t use analytics, ads or tracking of any kind, so there’s no cookie banner to click through.
To load quickly, some files come from other companies: fonts from Google Fonts, and animation code from cdnjs (Cloudflare) and jsDelivr. The site itself is hosted by GitHub. Like any web server, these may see your IP address and browser details when they send you a file, and may keep short-term logs for security. They don’t receive anything else from this site.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to stop me using it. Just email me and I’ll reply within a month.
If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If anything here changes, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
